# Get Started with iStudix in 5 Minutes

> Learn how to sign up for iStudix, upload your first study material, and start learning with the AI assistant in four quick steps.

You can go from sign-up to studying with iStudix in about five minutes: create an account, upload a study material, open it in a notebook, and start asking the AI assistant questions.

    From your dashboard, open **Upload** and add a document you want to study, such as lecture notes or a textbook chapter. See [Upload your study materials](/using-istudix/upload-materials).

  <Step title="Open a notebook">
    Go to **Notebooks** to work with your material and keep your notes in one place. See [Create and organize notebooks](/using-istudix/notebooks).

    Schedule sessions in the **Calendar** and check **Progress** to see how you're doing.
