# Upload Your Study Materials to iStudix

> How to upload documents, notes, and study materials to iStudix so the AI learning assistant can help you study, summarize, and review them.

To upload a study material, open **Upload** from your dashboard, select the file from your device, and wait for it to finish processing. Once it's ready, you can study it with the AI assistant in your notebooks.

  <Step title="Choose your file">
    Select a file from your device, or drag and drop it into the upload area.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait for processing">
    iStudix processes the material so the AI assistant can read it. Larger files can take a little longer.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Start studying">
    Open the material in a [notebook](/using-istudix/notebooks) to start working with it.
  </Step>

<Tip>
  Clear, text-based documents give the AI assistant the best results. Scanned or blurry pages may be harder to read.
</Tip>

If an upload fails or seems stuck, check your internet connection, confirm the file opens on your device, and try again. See [Troubleshooting](/support/troubleshooting) for more fixes.
